Dan Drexelius, owner and entrepreneur.

Dan (affectionately known as Drex to some) is a down to earth guy who is well educated and knows a lot about a lot. He is intuitive and likes to talk about ways to improve things when he thinks he can contribute something positive or deems it necessary. His love for family and community is evident.. Whether attending his son's sporting events or attending Town Hall and Chamber of Commerce meetings, you will find him attentive, concerned and not shy of putting his two cents in when he feels the urge to contribute something positive.

COMMUNITY

The Miracle League of Grand Island and Western New York
Along with a few like-minded Island residents and business owners, Dan saw an opportunity to help young athletes with disabilities. With the genrosity of the Town who donated the land, they eventually built a baseball field in the heart of the community. The Miracle League is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities.

Charles N. DeGlopper Memorial Park
Dan and a contingent of Island residents were instumental in the expansion of the current site honoring a true, Grand Island native, WWII war hero. Pvt. Charles Neilans DeGlopper posthumously received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions and sacrifice of life during the early stages of the Battle of Normandy in World War II.

Meaghan's Miracle
Dan was instrumental in raising funds for Meaghan Grotz, an honor student at Grand Island High School born with Cystic Fibrosis. Meaghan's Miracle, a not-for-profit fund, was established to help pay the medical expenses associated with Meaghan's Double Lung Transplant. Sadly Meaghan passed away in October 2008 at the tender age of 21.
